Position Overview

The Corrugator Supervisor serves as the direct leader for a designated team of hourly employees during an assigned shift. This role is responsible for providing hands-on supervision, clear direction, and motivational leadership to ensure operational excellence across key performance areas:

  • Safety: Enforces safety protocols and fosters a culture of proactive risk prevention.
  • Quality: Maintains high standards of product and process quality through consistent oversight and corrective action.
  • Productivity: Drives efficient workflow and resource utilization to meet or exceed production targets.
  • Engagement: Builds team morale, encourages collaboration, and supports employee development.

The Corrugator Supervisor plays a critical role in aligning team performance with organizational goals, ensuring that daily operations run smoothly and effectively.

Responsibilities

Allocate resources to ensure minimum downtime and completion of scheduled activities. Prioritize and manage workload to ensure assignments address the objectives of the company, department and customers. Conduct safety and orientation training with new employees. Oversee and maintain safety practices in accordance with safe operations and in compliance with company policies. Supervise and assist in the training of production processes. Provide training, guidance and coaching to employees in a consistent and constructive manner. Communicate shift activity to personnel and keep them informed of the changes to equipment, processes and materials / supplies. Monitor the efficiency and quality of all production jobs. Assist in running and troubleshooting production jobs. Work closely with peers to develop good team working relationship and cross shift team relationships. Review production records for completeness and accuracy. Maintain inventory and replenishment of all production supplies. Conduct performance appraisals and communicate information to senior management.

Qualifications

Good human relations skills and strong verbal communication skills are required.  3-5 years supervisory experience preferred - Strong leadership and technical skills - Ability to develop and influence personnel - Ability to solve process and production issues independently - Written and oral communication skills and computer knowledge needed - Must be able to work specified shift time, with some weekend work -  Experience in the corrugated manufacturing industry is a plus.
