Job Purpose or Objective(s): The Childcare Regulatory Compliance Specialist will provide independent monitoring and oversight to verify compliance with licensing or program requirements and compliance with applicable policies, procedures, rules, laws, ordinances, and regulations at assigned Childcare facilities.  You will report to the Director of Compliance and Ethics.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm

Starting Pay: $62,000/year

Primary Tasks:

  1. Visit assigned childcare centers to assess compliance with applicable licensing/program requirements and make follow-up visits.
  2. You will complete written reports for each site visit.
  3. Notify applicable reporting agency regarding reportable incidents by program requirements and applicable regulations.
  4. You will notify applicable reporting agency regarding complaints received from parents and agency and maintain files of logged complaints.
  5. You will monitor and coordinate compliance activities of related departments to remain well-informed of the status of compliance issues and to identify trends (including conducting and assisting with assigned regulatory investigations, research data, analyze reports, and review procedure compliance).
  6. You will approach compliance work with a reasonable risk management approach, prioritizing and quickly addressing high risk deficiencies. 
  7. Track compliance-related findings and monitor department responses and resulting changes in processes.
  8. Perform all other duties as may be assigned.

MINIMUM

  • Bachelor’s degree in education or related field OR five (5) or more years of direct experience in a related field.
  • Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and tribal laws and regulations.
  • Exhibit skills to work with software within agency.
