Position: Guest Experience Director
Location: Granite Bay Campus
Reports to: Campus Pastor

Job Status: Full-time, Salary

  

The Guest Experience Director provides strategic leadership and hands-on oversight of the guest experience across all services, events, and ministry environments at the Bayside Granite Bay Campus. This role shapes the 'street to seat' experience for every person who steps on campus—on weekends, midweek gatherings, special events, and more. From first impressions to follow-up, the Guest Experience Director ensures that every interaction is welcoming, seamless, and aligned with Bayside’s mission and culture.  

  

Specific Responsibilities:


Create a Welcoming & Engaging Guest Experience

  •  Lead the vision, atmosphere, and execution of the guest experience across all gatherings and events, including weekends, midweek ministries, and special services.
  • Maintain the outside and inside "vibe" of the campus in alignment with service themes and seasonal emphasis.
  • Oversee the look, feel, and functionality of campus common areas: courtyard, lobby, meeting spaces, signage, and aesthetics.
  • Collaborate with ministry leaders to support guest engagement at weekly events such as Rooted, youth ministries, and midweek services.
  • Partner with the Campus Events Director to develop quarterly themes and strategic activations that engage the broader community (e.g. Fall Kickoff, Christmas, Spring, Summer).

Hospitality Team Development  

  • Recruit, train, and develop weekend staff and volunteers who lead our various hospitality teams: 

      - Road Warriors/Parking Lot 

      - Outside Greeters/Hosts

      - Lobby Greeters/Hosts

      - Hospitality/Food Service 

      - Ushers

      - Offering & Communion 

      - Guest Lounge/Welcome Center

      - First Aid

      - Security 

      - Set-up & Tear Down

  • Cultivate a culture of appreciation and ownership within each team
  • Develop and maintain operating procedures, team expectations, and guest experience standards.
  • Establish and implement quality standards for all Weekend volunteers
  • Champion a volunteer culture built on clear values, consistent language, and shared vision.

Budget & Resource Management

  • Develop and oversee the annual department budget in alignment with ministry goals and seasonal needs.
  • Monitor spending and steward resources responsibly.
  • Provide budget reports and updates to campus leadership as needed.

Midweek & Special Event Support

  • Ensure that all guest-facing aspects of the campus are fully prepared and staffed for midweek ministry gatherings and events.
  • Collaborate with the Global Events Team to support campus readiness and volunteer mobilization for concerts, conferences, and major events.
  • Ensure smooth transitions between large-scale events and regular weekly ministry operations.

Mission Critical

  • Model and uphold Bayside Church’s mission, vision, values, and goals in all areas of leadership.
  • Attend campus, team, and all-staff/all-campus meetings.
  • Be a visible presence on campus throughout the week to monitor quality, support volunteers, and respond to emerging needs.

Requirements

Qualifications:  

  • Proven leadership experience in hospitality, guest services, events, or church ministry environments.
  • Team building expertise with the ability to recruit, train, and inspire volunteers.
  • Strong Organizational Skills with a demonstrated ability to plan and execute large-scale events and themed experiences.
  • Creative eye for environments with a sensitivity to aesthetics, atmosphere, and guest experience.
  • Tech proficient - able to navigate common software and learn new systems with ease.  

Time Commitment

  • Full-time, must be able to work weekends, evenings and holidays.
