Summary:
We are looking for a hands-on, service-oriented Practice Supervisor to support both clinical care and operational leadership at one of our occupational health clinics. This role blends direct patient care with team supervision and day-to-day clinic management. You will play a key role in supporting staff, ensuring smooth workflows, maintaining compliance, and stepping in when the Practice Manager is off-site. Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Team Leadership and Support
- Lead and support clinic staff in daily operations.
- Conduct daily huddles and weekly Clinic Leadership Team meetings.
- Mentor team members, support training, and guide performance improvement.
- Help resolve interpersonal and performance issues in collaboration with the Practice Manager.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing clinic culture.
- Serve as the acting lead when the Practice Manager is off-site.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including phlebotomy, spirometry, audiometry, and limited scope X-ray.
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately.
- Maintain accurate and compliant patient records in accordance with OSHA, HIPAA, and clinical standards.
- Educate patients on treatment plans and preventive care.
Operational Support
- Assist with staff scheduling, inventory management, and clinic workflow.
- Support performance tracking, key performance indicators, and basic financial metrics such as authorizations and referrals.
- Lead or participate in onboarding, orientation, and training for new and existing staff.
- Help manage clinic appearance, equipment maintenance, and vendor coordination.
Client and Patient Experience
- Create a welcoming, professional environment for patients and colleagues.
- Build strong relationships with clients and ensure their service needs are met.
- Ensures patients are treated as individuals and are attended to expeditiously and courteously by colleagues.
- Ability to lead and deliver high quality patient care and work within practice scope.
- Support accurate documentation and service delivery for every patient visit.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand, walk, and reach for approximately 50 percent of the shift.
- Occasional squatting, kneeling, or crawling for up to 25 percent of the shift.
- Frequent use of computer systems and electronic documentation.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
- Visual and auditory acuity required for clinical tasks.
Education and/or Experience Requirements:
- Three or more years of clinical experience, preferably in occupational or urgent care.
- At least one year of supervisory or team leadership experience in a healthcare setting.
- Active certification as a CMA, RMA, Limited-Scope X-ray Tech, or equivalent.
- Current Basic Life Support and DOT specimen collection certifications preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, nursing, or a related field preferred (equivalent experience considered).
- Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Internal candidates must have a strong record of performance and be in good standing with the company at the time of application.
