Skillforce is currently hiring several Pipefitters for contract to permanent commercial work in the Louisville, KY area!
Ability to weld preferred.
Pipefitter Responsibilities:
- Select and arrange pipes according to blueprints or instructions from supervisors.
- Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to required shapes and sizes.
- Test pipe systems for leaks using pressure gauge kits.
- Secure pipes to structures with brackets, clamps, and welding equipment.
- Modify and maintain pipe systems and components as necessary.
- Collaborate with contractors, construction workers, and mechanical engineers to ensure specifications are met.
- Adhere to safety policies and regulations to create a risk-free environment.
Pipefitter Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a pipefitter
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
- Ability to weld
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable transportation to job sites.
