POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Coding/Billing Manager and Finance Manager, is responsible for the functions related to revenue integrity, including charge captures, charge reconciliation, charge entry timeliness, provider charge documentation compliance and charge description master processes. Will also be responsible for administrative and technical operations, remediation of issues, trend analysis and integrating technology whenever possible.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Analyze accounts receivable to identify areas of charge capture delay and/or denials.
- Maintains CPC credentialing and participates in continuing education.
- Provide staff and providers education regarding financial and compliance issues.
- Works to develop systems to reduce negative financial adjustments.
- Identifies financial issues, implements resolution when possible. Works through situations independently identifying and removing barriers. Completes tasks independently with little guidance or direction from peers and leaders, involves others as needed to develop approach and resolution.
- Participates in improvement projects, initiatives and related training in areas of responsibility.
- Develops approaches and conducts internal compliance and audits for area of responsibility.
- Demonstrates ability to manage multiple tasks at once. Participates in group projects, ensuring effective communication amongst team and developing reasonable time lines.
- Promotes effective working relations and works effectively as part of a department/unit.
- Participates in CHCRR coding audits and relays provider education based on audit results.
- Develops an understanding of FQHC insurance credentialing, monitor’s compliance for financial revenue analysis.
- Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS REQUIRED FOR SUCCESS:
- Associate’s Degree in accounting/business required or equivalent experience. CPC or equivalent coding certification required.
