Position: Clinical Prescription Coordinator
Reports To: Director of Nursing

- Comfortable using electronic medical records (EMR) and familiar with medical terminology.
- Able to work collaboratively with clinicians, nurses, and medical assistants to keep operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities
- Learn the Prescription Protocol and manage prescription lines for both offices.
- Authorize prescription refills as directed; call or fax prescriptions into pharmacies.
- Review PDMP for controlled medication prescriptions and patient compliance.
- Complete prior authorizations and maintain accurate electronic patient records.
- Provide administrative assistance to Medical Assistants and other clinical staff.
- Greet patients over the phone and verify information through patient interviews.
- Communicate effectively with patients, pharmacies, caregivers, and guardians.
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect patient confidentiality at all times.
- Document patient information, treatment, and lab results accurately.
- Participate in training and education to expand job knowledge.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support clinical operations.
Requirements
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Medical Assistant, Licensed Nursing Assistant, or other medical credential required.
- Current BLS certification required.
- 1+ years of experience in a healthcare practice or hospital setting preferred.
Skills & Abilities
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills under time constraints.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of EMR systems, medical terminology, and inventory management.
- Ability to perform phlebotomy and administer injections.
- Commitment to accuracy, reliability, and patient-centered care.
