Scope of Role
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Burrito Shaker to join our kitchen team. The Burrito Shaker is responsible for expertly mixing and distributing burrito fillings to ensure even flavor and texture throughout each burrito, supporting our commitment to quality and consistency.
Requirements
Mission Critical Competencies
- Conduct visual inspections of tortillas to identify quality defects (e.g., tears, burns, discoloration)
- Accurately bend, shake, and fold tortillas according to Standard Process Document (SPD) guidelines
- Place tortillas into packaging trays neatly and efficiently
- Build and stack tortilla tray carts up to a height of 6’5”
- Push and maneuver tortilla carts weighing up to 50 lbs
- Maintain consistent line speed while minimizing product waste (target: greater than 3%)
- Accurately complete required documentation and count sheets
- Promptly communicate defects, downtime, or mechanical issues to line leads or maintenance staff
- Assist with production line clean-up and changeover tasks between runs
- Ensure burritos are evenly spaced and properly placed to support consistent production flow
- Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with food safety, GMP, and hygiene standards

Required Qualifications & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read, write and comprehend information.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to recognize subtle quality defects quickly.
- Ability to read and follow SOPs, quality standards, and work instructions accurately.
- Basic math skills for performing weight checks and completing inspection records.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive hand and arm motions.
- Ability to lift to 30 lbs as needed.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
- Experience working in a high-speed food manufacturing environment.
- 1 year or more of experience in a food production, quality control or quality assurance experience role
- Familiarity with GMPs, HACCP principles, and food safety standards.
- Bilingual skills (English/Spanish)
Work Environment
- Manufacturing facility with variable temperature zones (hot and cold environments).
- Exposure to raw and cooked food ingredients; strict PPE compliance required.
- Standing, bending, and repetitive hand and arm movements throughout shifts (up to 10 hours).
- Frequent lifting and carrying materials up to 30 lbs.
