As a Multi-Family Accounting and Section 8 Housing Manager you will oversee the financial operations and compliance aspects of multi-family housing properties, with a specialized focus on properties participating in the Section 8 housing program. This role combines robust accounting practices with in-depth knowledge of housing regulations, particularly those set by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The manager ensures financial accuracy, regulatory adherence, and efficient property operations to support affordable housing initiatives
Responsibilities:
- Checking figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes.
- Operating computers programmed with accounting software to record, store, and analyze information.
- Complying with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Debiting, crediting, and totaling accounts on computer spreadsheets and databases using specialized software.
- Classifying, recording, and summarizing financial data.
- Audit resident and financial accounts for payables and receivables.

Requirements
Requirements:
- Knowledge of property management software is preferred.
- Knowledge of financial coding for invoices
- Ability to read resident account ledgers and statements, and other financial statements
- Residential property management experience and knowledge required
- Prior office, clerical, accounting, or bookkeeping experience preferred
- Knowledge of Section 8 housing voucher processes preferred
- Ability to communicate with housing agencies and complete housing paperwork preferred
- Must exhibit attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a team
- Be dependable with good communication and active listening skills
