Summary:
Under general supervision, performs necessary assignments in support of the daily safety and physical security at Belco branches and Operations Center. Will implement and abide by current safety and security policies and procedures and update concurrent with the size and growth expectations of the credit union. Acts in a supporting capacity as point of contact with law enforcement agencies, judicial departments, fire departments and security and alarm vendors.
Essential Functions:
- Acts as a routine liaison with security vendors to schedule necessary and required work.
- Assists with the creation of innovative, streamlined security processes. Assists with reviews and recommends improvements to the access control database for all facilities.
- Daily monitoring of departmental policies and procedures.
- Maintains “Kaba” cash access system at all branch locations.
- Assists with the security design and design documentation and/or project plans for all new or remodeled facilities and deployed ATM and ITM technology.
- Assists with disaster recovery administration and business continuity responsibilities.
- Reviews, assesses, and reports security risks that may be present within the credit union.
- Assists with providing safety & security training, including but not limited to robbery, extortion & bomb threats, to all Belco employees. This includes conducting an annual “mock robbery” training program for all branch level employees.
- Approves/grants all access devices for branches and operations center and maintains accuracy of same through continual audit process.
- Monitors daily security equipment at all Belco locations and for all Belco ATM/ITM devices.
- In conjunction with the Safety & Physical Security Manager, develops and maintains yearly inspection plans for branch and operations center fire suppression systems and/or fire extinguishers.
- Assist in the development of emergency evacuation plans for branches and operations center. Plans and communicates yearly fire alarm and evacuation exercise.
- Assists with providing emergent support as needed for volatile personnel matters.
- Provide 24x7 on-call support as needed.
- Maintains confidentiality of information and controls.
- Seize any opportunity to cross sell credit union products and services to members and to educate members about Belco, its products and services.

- Any other duties as requested by Safety & Physical Security Manager.

Work Environment:
This job operates in a profession office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This would require the ability to sit, stand, bend, hand dexterity, lift files, open filing cabinets and the ability to move from one area to another throughout our 3-story, 100,000 sq. ft. operations center and Branch network. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day.
Travel:
Some travel will be required for up to 25%. Driving a personal vehicle to branch locations to conduct safety, security, and mock robbery training. Meeting 3rd party security vendors to inspect video surveillance installation at branch locations.
Minimum Required Education and Experience:
High school diploma with two years of similar or related experience, including time spent in a preparatory position.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Six months to two years of similar or related experience, including time spent in preparatory positions.
