Salary Range: $94,500-$100,000

District / School Overview
Foxborough Regional Charter School District (FRCS) is a unique and diverse school serving students from across Southeastern Massachusetts. Approximately 1500 students and families come from urban and suburban communities and represent various backgrounds, ethnicities, and experiences. Families in our three vibrant school communities (Elementary, Middle, & High School) speak over 20 languages and live in over 20 sending districts. The Elementary School at FRCS serves approximately 700 students in grades K-4. The 80+ staff members in the Elementary School are dedicated, collaborative, and compassionate educators and faculty who strive to provide all students with the tools needed to become successful global citizens and leaders. In addition to providing a standards-based curriculum, we also provide opportunities for students to build their character, engage in a range of specialized classes, and learn Spanish starting in Kindergarten. Job Summary:
The Assistant Principal supports the school’s mission by working collaboratively with the principal, staff, students, families, and community partners to foster a safe, inclusive, and academically rigorous learning environment. This role includes key responsibilities in instructional leadership, staff supervision, student support, operations, and collaboration with labor representatives and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Staff Supervision and Development
- Supervise, evaluate, and support instructional and non-instructional staff to ensure high-quality performance and continuous professional growth.
- Interview, recommend, and participate in the hiring of new staff members in collaboration with the principal and hiring teams.
- Lead and coordinate ongoing professional development that aligns with school improvement goals and staff needs.
- Provide coaching and feedback to enhance instructional practices and student learning.
Instructional Leadership
- Serve as an active member of the Teaching and Learning Team and Instructional Leadership Team, contributing to curriculum development, instructional planning, and the integration of data-informed strategies.
- Analyze student achievement and behavioral data to support student success and drive instructional improvement.
- Collaborate with the Student Support Team to design and implement academic and behavioral interventions.
School Culture and Discipline
- Support the Dean of Culture in the oversight of student behavior and discipline systems, promoting a safe, respectful, and restorative school climate.
- Assist with the implementation and enforcement of school-wide behavior expectations, discipline procedures, and student support plans.
Administrative and Operational Leadership
- Serve as a key member of the Building Administrative Team, contributing to strategic planning, goal setting, and day-to-day leadership.
- Oversee school policies, procedures, and compliance with district and state guidelines.
- Ensure student safety through supervision, emergency planning, and monitoring of building operations.
- Assist in resource allocation, scheduling, and managing the daily logistics of school operations.
- Assist with state, district and school-wide testing processes and data analysis
- Serve as principal in the principal’s absence.
Family and Community Engagement
- Foster strong partnerships with families and community stakeholders to support student learning and well-being.
- Communicate effectively with families regarding school initiatives, policies, and student performance.
- Coordinate and attend school events, including performances, celebrations, and parent engagement nights.
Labor Relations
- Collaborate regularly with the Collective Bargaining Unit, maintaining a professional and constructive working relationship.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the Collective Bargaining Agreement, ensuring compliance and consistency in all staff-related actions.
- Assist in resolving staff concerns in alignment with contractual obligations and school policies.
Staff Recruitment and Hiring
- Participate in the planning and facilitation of recruitment strategies and hiring processes.
- Interview and recommend candidates for open positions, ensuring equity and alignment with school needs and culture.
- Support onboarding and induction of new staff.
Other Duties:
- Perform other duties as assigned by the principal to support the school’s success and the needs of the community.

Qualifications:
- Education: Hold a Master’s degree
- Current educator licensure from the Massachusetts Department of Education
- Minimum of three (3) years of Teaching, Administrative, or Assistant Principal experience
- Experience working with students & families of diverse ethnic backgrounds
- A comprehensive knowledge of curriculum, instruction & assessment
- Demonstrated knowledge of instructional practices, school operations, and student discipline.
- Familiarity with Collective Bargaining Agreements and labor-management collaboration.
- Commitment to equity, cultural responsiveness, and inclusive practices.
- Candidates are subject to background checks, including CORI clearance and fingerprinting.
- Current authorization to work in the United States - Candidates must have such authorization by their first day of employment.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
The majority of work is performed in a school or classroom environment, which usually has a moderate noise level. Regular attendance is necessary; absences should be rare and in alignment with district attendance and punctuality standards.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the teacher is frequently required to kneel, stoop, bend, and crouch. The teacher is periodically required to stand while talking and listening. The teacher is occasionally required to sit, walk, lift, or carry.
