Loudoun County Department of Family Services seeks a dedicated and experienced professional for a CPS Evening Shift Supervisor. The successful candidate will join the Child Protective Services program within the Department of Family Services which envisions better health, safety, and well-being for all. Position Duties
Highlights of the role:
This position is eligible for a $3,000 hiring bonus in accordance with the county’s hiring and retention -bonus program. Flexible schedule with non-traditional hours. Ability to utilize the support (people) and tools (systems) needed to be successful in the role.
The successful candidate will:
Establish performance expectations and goals for the team. Lead a team of CPS workers with activities and plans to accomplish goals. Promote teamwork and cooperation in the unit. Cover emergencies and provide clinical direction to employees. Lead unit meetings. Monitor staff compliance. Work with a diverse and multi-ethnic population and workforce. Possess the ability to diffuse potentially volatile situations and deal with competing and demanding circumstances. Demonstrate capacity to manage crisis situations that require critical decisions involving people, resources, and property.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required, with major coursework in a Human Services field preferred; AND, four (4) years of directly related experience in a human services area to include one (1) year of supervisory experience.
Preferred Qualifications:- Master's degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, or a related field; clinical licensure.
- Bilingual skills in Spanish and English preferred.
