Description

This HR Coordinator/Recruiter position is working directly for Max Hospitality, which currently has 10 restaurant locations under their umbrella along with two catering locations with additional growth for 2024 and 2025 currently in process. The Human Resources Department is responsible for supporting over 800 employees, as well as the Partners and their respective locations. The Human Resources Director is seeking support from a coordinator that can handle working in a fast paced environment independently.

Your primary objective as the HR Coordinator/Recruiter is to support the needs of our high-volume HR department. You will be tasked with various projects that benefit our employees and the restaurant locations with a focus on recruitment coordination, posting and interviewing. Creation of offer letters, job descriptions and new hire orientation folders. Helping to create efficiencies within the department and organization being efficient and resourceful. This role will help review existing processes and systems and work to create new processes that are structured to provide maximum benefit to Max Hospitality and all of the restaurants. You will work closely with the HR Director and the CEO, to ensure projects are completed within a timely basis.

· Assist with HR admin functions such as, but not limited to: job posting, recruiting, interviewing, on-boarding, unemployment, employment verifications and OSHA reporting, employee engagement projects, prep for job fairs, payroll reporting and ad hoc requests

Knowledge of recruiting tools including, Indeed, Zip Recruiter and Facebook, LinkedIn to assist with staffing. Following up on interviews updating candidate statuses and providing a good candidate experience.

Work with restaurants and the CRA to get staff enrolled and obtain completed certification.

· Help HR Director create policies and structured processes for OSHA, leave of absences and employee referral program, outside HR training and continuing education will be provided as needed.

· Assist HR Director and consultant group during open enrollment and be able to answer requests of staff throughout year regarding benefits.

· Create new hire folders, mailings, and other clerical tasks as needed

· Collaborate with restaurant locations acting as point of contact for various requests

· Continuously review and challenge all HR Processes and bring forward improvement recommendations for consideration while maintaining high level of accuracy and confidentiality

· Keen attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills that support and enable sound decision making in a complex organization

· Monthly auditing of health deductions in payroll to ensure accuracy and payments from employees

· Coordinate birthday luncheons monthly, mailing out birthday cards for employees on monthly basis and coordination of job fairs in various locations in and out of state. May attend job fairs as needed based on HR Director's schedule

· Assist in coordination of events within restaurant locations as requested by HR Director

· Assist the CEO in calendar management, email organization and ad hoc projects (Excel knowledge is a plus). Act as note taker for bi-weekly board meetings with partners

· Work with beverage director on learning CrunchTime in order to act as a resource for adding new hires, or making minor employee profile changes.

Qualifications


Experience:

  • At least 1 year recruitment in a fast paced, multi unit environment
  • Human resources: 2 years (Required)
