About the Department
The Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District in search of an HR Business Partner with a passion for building HR programs and supporting employees who provide park and recreation services to the community. The ideal candidate has experience in the public sector, including performance management support and misconduct investigation work in a union setting. The ideal teammate seeks opportunities to improve services and enjoys the process of working collaboratively across teams to implement new ideas.
Position Profile:
The successful candidate will join a team of three HR Business Partners who all report to the Human Resources Director. The HR Business Partner serves as a trusted advisor to assigned departments and provides support with employee relations, including workplace investigations, accommodations, and employee development. This position will also oversee the Recruitment & Selection program area, including acting as lead recruiter for all full-time vacancies.
Education and Experience (Human Resources Business Partner II)
Equivalent to a four-year degree with major course work or training in Human Resources Management, Public/Business Administration, or a related field AND three (3) or more years of human resources experience in one or more functional areas is required. Preferred/desirable: Public-sector or high-volume/seasonal HR experience, PHR/SPHR or IPMA-CP/SCP certification; graduate or professional degree.
