Hybrid Paraprofessional - Supervisory/Instructional - 1.0 FTE (100%) - Central bei Appleton Area School District

The Appleton Area School District has a position available for a 1.0 FTE (100%) Supervisory-Instructional Paraprofessional at Appleton Central. This position will work with students using the computer-based Instruction Lab.  

Appleton Central is an alternative program that primarily serves students who range in age from 16-20 and who are credit deficient due to a variety of factors that may include: trauma, poverty, attendance issues, apathy, depression/anxiety, homelessness, mental health concerns, teen parents, and criminal thinking. Central also serves students who may have academic delays. 

Salary: $16.00/hr

Schedule: Schedule: 7:30 - 3:15 (M-F) 35 hours/week

Education Required: High School Diploma / GED / HSED

Qualifications:
Experience working with at-risk students at the high school level is desirable. 
The ability to work with administration to address unique barriers, assist in resolving conflicts, defuse difficult situations and provide resources to those in need is essential.
