Are you looking for an opportunity to advance your career as a Desktop Technician? Our company is seeking a skilled and passionate Desktop Technician to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical support for desktop hardware and software issues for our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills. Should be able to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop hardware, software, and peripherals for users.
- Provide technical support for desktop hardware and software issues for users.
- Manage and monitor client workstations and servers.
- Provide support for an on-site client.
- Document all technical support activities in ticketing systems.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of all client equipment.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent, and/or IT focused education or related work experience.
- Excellent knowledge of PC and desktop hardware.
- Excellent knowledge of PC internal components.
- Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience.
- Extensive equipment support experience.
- Working technical knowledge of current protocols, operating systems, and standards.
- Ability to operate tools, components, and peripheral accessories.
- Able to read and understand technical manuals, procedural documentation, and guides.
- Strong customer service orientation
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Chromebooks.
- Experience with Google Suite.
- Experience with K-12 environment.
