Summary
Assists in managing all front office operations by performing the following duties
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Assist in preparing weekly work schedules in accordance with staffing guidelines and labor forecasts. Adjust schedules throughout the week to meet changing business demands.
- Conduct pre-shift meetings with staff to review all information relevant to the day’s operations.
- Assign work duties to staff in line with departmental procedures. Communicate any additions or changes to assignments as they arise during the shift. Identify situations that compromise departmental standards and delegate corrective tasks accordingly.
- Ensure staff adheres to all Trump International Service Standards.
- Actively participate in daily technical and personal service training.
- Monitor the check-in and check-out process to ensure it meets hotel standards. Anticipate critical situations and assist as needed to expedite guest processing and alleviate pressure.
- Coverage in any front desk position, including overnight shifts, if necessary.
- Attend scheduled meetings during your shift.
- Handle all guest complaints professionally and courteously.
- Assist staff with their job functions to ensure optimal guest service.
- Adhere to hotel protocols regarding guest/employee accidents, injuries, and emergency situations.
- Ensure all VIPs are pre-registered according to established standards.
- Inspect VIP arrival rooms daily to ensure compliance with hotel standards.
- Monitor VIP arrivals; greet and escort them to their rooms.
- Review group arrival resumes; coordinate master accounts and fulfill group special requests.
- Perform guest check-in and check-out procedures in accordance with Trump International Service Standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises 10 – 15 employees in all front office operations.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning work; assisting in appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
2 – 4 years experience and/or training at the Front Desk; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before guests or employees of the hotel.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Other Skills and Abilities
Computer skills are required.
Knowledge of a foreign language is preferred.
