Recreation Site Coordinator for Childcare, Enrichments, Events and Summer Camp

- Represent the core purpose and the mission of CCS at all times
- Ensure the safety of children and staff at all times
- Provide children with a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment
- Develop a daily schedule that promotes individual student learning to their highest level
- Plan and implement a comprehensive theme-based curriculum (resources available)
- Ensure that daily school age lesson plans are completed in advance, follow the Biblical Worldview Curriculum, and Cougar Clubs programs’ weekly themes
- Prepare Cougar Club communications. Post-bi-weekly news in the school’s Cougar Sightings.
- Promote all recreation programs to positively enhance Cascade Christian Schools
- Evaluate subordinate staff according to CCS policies
- Maintain accurate monthly reports
- Use good judgment dealing with disciplinary, emergency or security situations
- Uphold the Health Policy
- Uphold and maintain the disaster plans & overviews
- Plan and oversee monthly site staff meetings
- Attend all Recreation team leaders’ meetings
- Assist with planning professional development and staff training
- Provide support needed to run successful enrichment classes
- Provide campus support for all school events
- Always communicate with staff, students, and parents with positivity and red-carpet service
- Ensure that all programs are performing at the industry's level of excellence
- Perform related duties as assigned

Site Coordinator must:
- Is a Christian role model in attitude, speech, and action
- Be twenty-one years of age
- Agree with Cascade Christian Schools' Statement of Faith and Teaching Statements
- Attend a Cascade Christian School orientation within six months of employment or assuming the position
- Attend a Recreation Site Coordinator's orientation within 10 days
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Have completed thirty college credits in approved school-age credits as specified in the Washington state guidelines for determining related degree and approved credits, or twenty college credits and one hundred clock hours of related community training or exemption
- Have two years of management experience in a related field
- Have completed thirty hours of STARS training or possess an exemption
- Complete ongoing training hours
- Develop an individual training plan
- Clear a background check
- Possess a current CPR/First Aid certificate
- Complete yearly Mandated Reporter training
- Complete yearly HIV Aids and bloodborne pathogens training
- Possess a current Food Handlers card
- Be on-site for the majority of the hours that students are on site
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
This position requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate phones, computers, and other office equipment. The Site Coordinator must speak clearly using the English Language to accurately convey information and be able to hear at normal speaking levels both in person and over the telephone. Vision correctable to 20/40 is required to review written materials and supervise children. Work will be performed both indoors and outdoors and the Site Coordinator may be exposed to inclement weather conditions. The Site Coordinator must perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms, legs, and whole-body movements, such as lifting, walking, stooping, and handling materials. Site Coordinator must frequently lift and/or move 30+ lbs. The noise level in the work environment is moderately loud. Occasional exposure to safety hazards, chemicals, and other hazardous materials.
WORK HOURS:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Start Date: ASAP
SALARY RANGE:
$26.25-$29.16 per hour; 240 days per year
