Job Summary

Under general direction, the Content Coordinator – Grant Development, will assist in the administration of grants awarded to various divisions and programs for the County Office and coordinate communications, support services and information related to grant activities.

Requirements / Qualifications

Experience: A minimum of three (3) years of experience in grant development with a successful track record in securing federal, state, and local funding. Education: Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Business Administration, non-profit Management or related field or equivalent. Documents you wish to attach should be uploaded via EDJOIN by the filing deadline in order to be considered in the hiring process (pertains to current employees also). Salary Info

Maximum entry level for external candidates is $11,658 per month. Salary step placement for promotional candidates is based upon Rules of the Personnel Commission.

IMPORTANT COMMENTS: •All candidates will be notified by email throughout the hiring process. •Each candidate’s application papers and the answers to the essay questions contained with the application will be thoroughly evaluated and ranked by a screening committee appointed by the Kern County Superintendent of Schools. Candidates achieving a rating of 70% or better will qualify to continue in the eligibility screening process. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: Some positions may require proof of privately owned automobile insurance and possession of a valid California Motor Vehicle operator's license which must be maintained for the duration of the assignment. Fingerprint clearance by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the California Department of Justice is a condition of appointment after all other required job conditions have been met. Must present verification of completion of Child Abuse Mandated Reporter training or obtain verification within six (6) weeks of hire and annually thereafter, as required by the California Child Abuse Neglect Reporting Act.
