- Prepares exam requests and inquiries, reviews documents and data requests, and determines appropriate individuals for response.
- Coordinates with and gathers data from a variety of team members and partners, manages any required follow-ups, validates data and ensures that all responses are complete, accurate and submitted timely.
- Tracks and reports on the progress of regulatory exams.
- Prepares and timely files periodic regulatory reports, including the Mortgage Call Report (MCR).
- Develops and maintains effective communication with internal and external stakeholders; escalates and resolves issues, as applicable.
- Acts as the examinations/review primary point of contact for regulators, agencies and investors.
- Performs other duties and projects assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree required, and minimum of eight (8) + years’ compliance experience in the mortgage or financial industry.
- Minimum of three (3) + years’ managing and/or conducting examinations and reviews, including overseeing remediation plans.
- Experience in managing or assisting with examinations and GSE, investor and agency reviews for a mortgage lender.
- Demonstrates knowledge of, adherence to, monitoring and responsibility for compliance with state and federal regulations and laws as they pertain to this position.
- Familiarity with mortgage regulations, financial services industry best practices and GSE/investor requirements.
