Responsibilities
- Ensure that all electrical systems are maintained in good working order in an effort to maximize the efficiency of mill equipment
- Installing, repairing, troubleshooting and maintaining electrical motors, scanners, drives, and PLC's on equipment used in the sawmill process
- Responding to requests from both the Production Supervisors and the Maintenance Supervisors
- Committing to and always promoting the use of safe practices
Qualifications
- Education Preferred: Associate's Degree in Electrical Technology or an equivalent apprenticeship
- Including Military Occupation Courses, experience, or apprenticeships
- Years of Experience Required:
- 2-5 years of experience in maintenance in an industrial environment
- Strong troubleshooting abilities with electrical controls, power distribution (high and low voltage), programmable logic controllers and variable frequency drives is essential
- Ability to work a rotating shift
- Previous sawmill experience is considered an asset
- Ability to work independently or part of a team is a must
