About the Department
High School Diploma, G.E.D., or foreign equivalent and four (4) years of experience in a similar position as listed in the work functions.

Regular and reliable attendance is a necessary component of job/position. Individuals required to use County vehicles and equipment must have a valid driver’s license and be free of any major traffic violations for the last three (3) years.
Position Duties
Under supervision, supports the procurement of parts and materials required to maintain facility operations and maintenance. Coordinates overall facility inventory and may make purchases. Monitors inventory and storage systems. Enters data and tracks parts in the Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS). Supports a diverse, respectful, and inclusive workplace.
Minimum Qualifications
- Coordinates the ordering, receiving, returns, and maintenance of inventory and materials. Monitors shipments and stocking of goods.
- Oversees the automatic reorder of inventory in the CMMS.
- Maintains inventory control of spare parts and forecasts future needs.
- Maintains records and creates reports on machine history, equipment status, and building maintenance conditions.
- Verifies invoices and submits for processing.
- Researches supplies and technologies and makes recommendations.
- Maintains files on vendors and purchasing documents.
- Operates forklift and county vehicles. Coordinates timely parts distribution and organizes storage.
- Assists with inventory audits.
- Performs related work as assigned.
Other Qualifications
- Knowledge of procurement systems and inventory processes.
- Knowledge of industrial facilities.
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, boilers, and generators.
- Skill in the use of computers and technology including CMMS and general office software.
- Skill in effective verbal and written communication.
- Skill in working with internal and external contacts.
- Skill in negotiation.
- Ability to work efficiently with attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret mechanical drawings.
- Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work and meet deadlines.
