Responsibilities
Prepare and cook various menu items according to La Madeleine’s recipes and preparation methods (grilling, sautéing, baking, frying).
Maintain appropriate cooking temperatures and portion control at all times.
Accurately and efficiently assemble food orders on the line, ensuring timely preparation and correct plating.
Ensure all items are complete, fresh, and presented to standard.
Inspect ingredients and finished products for taste, appearance, and freshness.
Maintain consistent food quality and presentation throughout service.
Follow all food safety protocols, including proper handling, storage, and temperature checks.
Maintain a clean and sanitized work station during and after service.
Communicate clearly with fellow line associates, servers, and kitchen leadership to ensure smooth service
Support the overall kitchen operation by assisting with restocking and prep tasks as needed.
Skills and Qualifications
Basic culinary skills and knowledge of standard cooking techniques
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality
Effective communication and teamwork skills
Ability to stand for long periods and work in hot kitchen conditions
