Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook various menu items according to La Madeleine’s recipes and preparation methods (grilling, sautéing, baking, frying).

  • Maintain appropriate cooking temperatures and portion control at all times.

  • Accurately and efficiently assemble food orders on the line, ensuring timely preparation and correct plating.

  • Ensure all items are complete, fresh, and presented to standard.

  • Inspect ingredients and finished products for taste, appearance, and freshness.

  • Maintain consistent food quality and presentation throughout service.

  • Follow all food safety protocols, including proper handling, storage, and temperature checks.

  • Maintain a clean and sanitized work station during and after service.

  • Communicate clearly with fellow line associates, servers, and kitchen leadership to ensure smooth service

  • Support the overall kitchen operation by assisting with restocking and prep tasks as needed.

 

Skills and Qualifications

 

  • Basic culinary skills and knowledge of standard cooking techniques

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality

  • Effective communication and teamwork skills

  • Ability to stand for long periods and work in hot kitchen conditions
