Reporting to the COO, The Vice President (VP) of Quality for Marine Manufacturing is a key leadership role responsible for establishing and maintaining a robust quality culture throughout the organization, with a particular focus on manufacturing operations. This position will develop, implement, and lead the company's strategic quality plan, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards. Must work out of our Trenton, ME location with ability to travel based on business needs.
Responsibilities:
· Strategic planning and leadership, such as developing and implementing a quality strategy aligned with business objectives and leading the quality assurance team.
· The role involves quality system management, including establishing quality control measures, overseeing the Quality Management System (QMS), and conducting audits. Operational quality and process improvement tasks include analyzing data for improvement, coordinating quality actions, and implementing Lean Manufacturing principles.
· The VP will lead a team of QA professional across all Hinckley boatyards.
· Team development and training involve mentoring staff and developing future leaders. Finally, reporting and analysis duties include designing dashboards and generating reports to track KPIs.
Requirements
. A Bachelor's degree in a related field
· 10 plus years of experience in manufacturing leadership with a focus on creating a quality culture.
· In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and supply chain management is necessary.
· Strong leadership, strategic planning, problem-solving, and communication skills are crucial.
· Experience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies, managing budgets, and familiarity with marine industry regulations are also important.
· Additional qualifications may include experience in quality audits and root cause analysis.
Marine experience highly preferred but not required.
