About the Role:
Join our Fabrication team as a CNC Optical Technician, where you'll play a key role in producing high-precision optical components using advanced CNC equipment. This position is ideal for someone who values precision, enjoys hands-on work, and thrives in a collaborative, safety-focused environment.
Schedule:
- 1st Shift: Monday–Thursday, 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- 2nd Shift: Monday–Thursday, 3:15 PM – 1:45 AM
What You’ll Do:
- Set up, operate, and maintain CNC diamond turning machines to support production goals.
- Interpret engineering drawings and follow standardized work instructions and lean manufacturing processes.
- Use metrology tools to inspect and verify that optical components meet exacting specifications.
- Perform manual cleaning of optical surfaces using appropriate solvents and materials.
- Collect and analyze production data using basic math and statistical tools.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
What You'll Bring:
- U.S. Person status as defined by 22 CFR 120.15 (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident).
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ideally 3 years of experience in machining or CNC production environments.
- Proficiency in setting up and operating CNC manufacturing equipment.
- Ability to perform precision measurements on optical or mechanical components.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and equipment operation.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions in English.
Working Conditions:
- May involve lifting or moving items up to 40 lbs.
- Exposure to chemicals and solvents; safety glasses and gloves are required.
- Standing for extended periods and working in a production environment.
