Operations Manager
Woodbine, MD

About the Role:
The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of daily operations within our manufacturing and warehouse facilities located in Woodbine, MD. This role is critical in ensuring efficient workflow, maintaining high standards of workplace safety, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs and enhance productivity. The successful candidate will lead and develop teams, manage employee performance, and implement effective operational strategies that align with company goals. They will serve as a key liaison between different departments to ensure seamless coordination and timely execution of operational plans. Ultimately, the Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in sustaining operational excellence and supporting the company’s growth objectives.
Position Summary: Supervisory responsibilities: Lead and manage a project team of operators and drivers; monitor, track, and document performance; give feedback to employees; discipline behavior that does not meet project and company employment and safety policies.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management within manufacturing or warehouse environments.
- Proven track record in managing teams and improving employee performance.
- Strong knowledge of workplace safety standards and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to control costs and implement cost reduction strategies effectively.
- Class A CDL with tanker for being a backup driver
- Dispatching and communications with the customer
- Receives training and performs duties in several departments such as Operations, Safety, Client Services, Sales, and Finance.
- Learns staff functions, operations, management viewpoints, and company policies and practices that affect each phase of business.
- Strong written, verbal, analytical, and presentation skills
- Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of staff throughout the company
- Position requires proficiency in Word, Excel, and Access an Extensive travel may be required depending upon the position.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise daily operations of manufacturing and warehouse activities to ensure efficiency and quality standards are met.
- Lead, mentor, and evaluate team members to foster a high-performance culture and support professional development.
- Implement and enforce workplace safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment and comply with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and monitor budgets, control operational costs, and identify opportunities for cost reduction without compromising quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, resolve operational issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

- Receives training and performs duties in several departments such as Operations, Safety, Client Services, Sales, and Finance.
- Learns staff functions, operations, management viewpoints, and company policies and practices that affect each phase of business.
- Function as front-line manager
- Sets performance goals and objectives with upper management.
- Monitors performance progress with management and key trainers.
- Observes experienced workers to acquire knowledge of methods, procedures, and standards required for the performance of departmental duties.
- Receives training in functions and operations of related departments to facilitate subsequent transferability between departments and to provide greater promotional opportunities
