POSITION PURPOSE
Responsible for preparing and reviewing all documents necessary for closing consumer loans accurately and according to the decision requirements. Emailing, faxing, or mailing loan paperwork, distributing loans to branches, and coordinating loan closings with branch personnel. Typing and handling miscellaneous paperwork. Monitoring and reviewing incoming loans from other branches for accuracy and compliance. Setting up reconciliation and funding for indirect auto loans and leases. Maintaining files and answering or directing telephone calls. Provides professional service to members. 

IMPORTANT NOTE
This is not a remote position.
This role requires in-person work at our Operations Center in West Chester, OH. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

  • Prepares paperwork for review and loan closings; Orders any documents needed for review. 
  • Disburses loans according to loan decision requirements; Journals fees, collects insurance premiums, and any other costs associated with a loan, crediting it to the proper general ledger account. 
  • Distributes loan paperwork to branches and appropriate personnel; Coordinates loan closings with branches; Closes loans as necessary.
  • Researches and resolves documentation errors or discrepancies; Forwards more complex problems to Management. 
  • Maintains hold, mail, and suspense files according to loan type and disbursement schedule. 
  • Receives and screens telephone calls; Answers routine questions or directs them to appropriate personnel. 
  • Completes loan processing duties in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations. 

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
High school graduate or equivalent.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
Understanding of consumer loan products and services.
Knowledge of loan processing functions and related requirements and procedures.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
One year to three years of similar or related experience.
Previous varied office experience preferred.

SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Strong typing abilities.
Good verbal public relations skills.
Well organized.
Ability to operate calculators, word processors, telephone, and other related computer applications.
