About Us:
 Tidewater was founded in 1983 as an industrial hygiene (IH) and environmental consulting services provider in Baltimore, Maryland.  Today, Tidewater has over 140 employees performing work across three divisions involving environmental consulting, facilities, and construction. Our environmental division includes consulting, remediation, radiological, and IH service lines. Tidewater is headquartered in Elkridge, Maryland. We currently have eight offices throughout the United States including California, Ohio, Tennessee, and Pennsylvania with additional personnel working in Japan, Kenya, and Germany.  Our business spans over 75 multi-year government contracts and an average of 1,000 projects annually for Federal, State, municipal, and commercial clients worldwide.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Handling incoming calls and other communications.
  • Greeting clients and visitors including visitor sign-in and ID check.
  • Handling and distributing incoming and outgoing mail and FedEx / UPS shipments.
  • Managing filing system and recording information as needed.
  • Updating paperwork, maintaining documents and word processing.
  • Creating, maintaining, and entering information into databases.
  • Monthly allocation of Home Depot and Lowes Statement and daily FedEx Invoices.
  • Helping organize and maintain office common areas and manage keys to the building.
  • Performing general office clerk duties and errands such as but limited to, copying, faxing, labels, and other technologies.
  • Supporting staff in Elkridge office as well as all company offices as needed.
  • Maintaining supply inventory.
  • Maintaining office equipment as needed.
  • Manage Gorilla Conferencing system including new user set-up.
  • Performing other relevant duties when needed

Requirements:

  • Associates or Bachelors degree is preferred
  • Ability to write clearly and help with word processing when necessary.
