About the Role:

Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of drying processes and equipment used in non-durable goods manufacturing.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in a related field.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and practices.
- Familiarity with quality control standards and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily operations of the drying process, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
- Supervise and train a team of operators and technicians, providing ongoing support and performance feedback.
- Monitor equipment performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime and maintain production flow.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and compliance with industry regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Analyze production data and metrics to identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.
Skills:
The required skills for this position include strong leadership abilities, which are essential for managing a diverse team and ensuring effective communication. Technical knowledge of drying processes is crucial, as it allows the supervisor to make informed decisions regarding equipment operation and maintenance. PPE/Safety:
- Required during sanitation: Chemical resistant gloves, aprons, and boots, face shield
- Required in Production areas: Safety glasses, hair/beard nets, and hearing protection
- Position may require the use of fall protection harness and clip-on gas monitor (confined space entry)
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling, pulling, fine manipulation skills using hands, shoulders, back and legs
- Ability to make precise, coordinated movements with the body to quickly grab, manipulate or move products/objects
- Ability to visually interpret instructions, operate machines and inspect parts
- Able to work on foot for extended periods of time
- Must be able to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 55 lbs.
- Must be able to climb ladders and stairs as needed
- Ability to work in various temperatures (varies from cool to moderate) including occasional high humidity
- Ability to continuously work with PPE/Safety equipment including: chemical resistant gloves, aprons, boots, safety glasses, hair/beard nets and hearing protection
