Description

Reporting to the Director Home Brands, the Brand Manager – Home Brands is a key role in driving the company’s short and long term growth agenda. This role will be responsible for Michel Design Works and Village Candle brands, building and executing plans to meet annual brand, share, and financial objectives, including both revenue and profit targets. The Brand Manager – Home Brands will be expected to understand and showcase actionable consumer insights, strong analytical skills, financial acumen, and ability to manage impactful marketing campaigns.

  

· Brand Strategy & Positioning: Support development of annual operating plan, inclusive of macro trends, category and competitive landscape, and consumer insights. Articulate clear brand positionings and insight-driven marketing strategies and objectives to achieve in-year and long-term sustainable growth.

· P&L Management: Support Director Home Brands with top and bottom-line delivery of P&L in partnership with cross functional teams (Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, PD, Category Management, Innovation, etc.) through growth strategies and plans and cost reduction opportunities.

· Business Analysis/Planning: Lead brand business analytics including monthly consumption analysis, e-commerce, shipment performance vs objectives, forecasting, consumer panel data, marketing performance and financial information. Deep dive into category and competitive dynamics and recommend course corrections, risks and opportunities to deliver annual financial objectives.

· Marketing Activation: Develop marketing objectives, strategies and integrated plans to drive awareness, trial and engagement. Work with internal and external creative teams and agency partners, Integrated Marketing Manager and Ecommerce teams to create, execute, measure and optimize marketing plans to meet brand and financial objectives. 

· Product Portfolio Optimization: Continuously manage life cycle of products, ensuring portfolio remains relevant. Identify opportunities for line extensions and new product categories while maintaining brand authenticity, as well as sku rationalization recommendations. Lead execution of productivity projects 



Requirements

  • Minimum BS in Business / Marketing, MBA preferred
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in brand management, CPG Food and Beverage preferred
  • Experience in a traditional brand management structure or emerging brand experience
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, analyze data and translate insights into actionable plans
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
  • Experience leading cross functional teams and managing external agencies
  • Excellent communication, leadership and project management skills
