Location: Ardmore, Oklahoma. Ardmore is a rural, yet progressive, city set amidst ample outdoor sporting opportunities and conveniently located about halfway between Dallas, Texas and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
SUMMARY
Provides engineering support for the control, integration, modifications or enhancements to existing foundry systems. Includes design and development of concept general arrangement (and detailed) drawings for new capital investments into the facility.
Significant work on non-capital improvements and revisions will also occur for foundry processes and all supporting equipment.
Works collaboratively with other foundry departments, as well as EJ engineers, designers, as well as outside consultants and suppliers, or others as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Promotes the culture, the mission and vision, and the core values of the company. This includes adherence to and promotion of the company safety beliefs, employee engagement, competencies, code of conduct, and other policies and procedures.
- Formulates engineering solutions to problems and develops plans according to project requirements. This may involve technical studies, calculations, limited travel, and research.
- Successful candidate must be able to develop layouts and concepts for equipment additions or revisions within the foundry walls.
- Coordinate the efforts of outside contractors working on facility projects.
- Prepares specifications and designs for part fixtures utilized in automated equipment and systems.
- Develop designs for improving mechanical and/or automated systems or quality on existing plant equipment.
- Calculations for loadings will be required on occasion.
- Investigate and follow through with improvements for safety, quality, cost reduction and plant efficiency improvements.
- Prepares status reports and maintains communications between all parties involved to efficiently optimize available time, avoid conflicts and promote progress to completion.
- Maintains project files and drawings: updates and revisions, as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS

Hands-on self-starter position willing to spend time on the shop floor to understand the specific needs of our manufacturing teams. Must be literate in basic computer support systems such as: MS Office 365, Microsoft Project as well as specialized products such as SOLIDWORKS and/or AutoCAD, etc. .
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university (Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Industrial Engineering strongly preferred); and one to two years related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Foundry experience highly preferred but other manufacturing experience considered.
