Explanation of Role:

We are looking for a night shift supervisor that can help coordinate work for our team members. The night shift supervisor is to have (or learn) basic knowledge of every machine type in the facility and be able to support our machinists throughout the night.

The supervisor will have a variety of leadership tasks each night that involve machine and employee planning, training, and some regular communications to the day shift team.

The supervisor is expected to handle as many things as possible themselves at night, and to communicate those issues effectively to the day shift team.

Requirements

Experience Requirements

- 3 years minimum in a manufacturing environment.

- 1 year minimum in a leadership role where team members report directly to you.

- Experience dealing with employee and machine scheduling

- Experience performing yearly reviews, and providing team members with positive and constructive feedback

- Very strong with communication. Working between different shift supervisors to ensure everyone is on the same page throughout a work week.

Experience Nice to Haves

- CNC Machining

- Inspection Experience with Medical or Aerospace Parts

- Experience leading teams of 10+ people

- History of night shift work.

Job Expectations

- Hours will be Mon-Thurs 400PM-430AM

o Friday OT 430PM to 930PM

o Being there every Friday is not a requirement, but we would expect you to be there most Fridays

- Arrive and begin immediately connecting with day shift supervisors to understand what each night shift employee is running that night, and what backup machines are available if issues arise.

- Work with supervisors to help understand any issues that were had the night before and take the time to teach your team members based on what was discussed.

- Key responsibility will be ensuring parts off every machine have good quality. This involves machines that are being run on nights, as well as a variety of other machines.

- You may be asked to run a machine or support secondary departments once leadership duties are done.

- You will deal with any issues that arise throughout the night. Expectations are you do your best to fix the issue, and if you can't to communicate clearly via email or notes with the day shift supervisor.
