Alegra is a cloud-based administrative and accounting software platform designed to help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) streamline their daily operations. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Payroll Specialist/HR Assistant to join our expanding team. This hybrid role is integral to ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, supporting various HR administrative functions, and delivering outstanding support to our employees. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency of our internal operations within a dynamic, digital-first environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately process multi-region payroll in compliance with applicable regulations
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies; respond promptly to employee inquiries
- Support employee onboarding and offboarding processes, including the preparation and maintenance of documentation
- Provide training to staff on payroll systems and internal HR procedures
- Manage off-cycle and manual payments as necessary
- Upload, manage, and track garnishments, tax forms, and other payroll-related documentation
- Prepare internal payroll reports and assist with audits and compliance filings
- Contribute to HR initiatives and projects that enhance employee engagement and administrative efficiency
