Police Dispatcher
Position Purpose
To provide dispatch services to the Perry Township Police Department and provide security monitoring of the Perry Township School buildings.
Essential Job Functions
· Use ALLY Management System to log officer activities.
· Maintain and create reports from ALLY Management System.
· Maintain the scheduling of locking and unlocking of electronic doors.
· Dispatch officers to incidents in and around Perry Township Schools.
· Monitor Corporation Security Cameras
· Dispatch building officers to active door alarms during student hours.
· Monitor Tip Line/ Lets talk communications.
· Track and report alarm stats
· Communicate and dispatch officers to assist with Transportation accidents.
· Communicate and assist Transportation with misplaced students.
· Communicate emergency information to the building and administration as directed.
. Assist IDACS coordinatoror, run III.
. Schedule extra coricular activities.
. Monitor part time hours for complyance.
. Assist with new employee on boarding.
· Assist with outreach and training scheduling.
· Assist with incidents and investigations as assigned.
· Request videos from the buildings and Transporttation video section.
· Handles confidential/personal information.
· Other duties assigned by Chief of Police or designee.
Equipment
Use standard office equipment such as personal computers, printer, copier and fax machines, calculator, radio/communications and telephone.
Travel Requirements
Travel to school district buildings and professional meetings as required.
Starting Pay Rate
$20.81 per hour.
Work Schedule
8.0 hours per day.
260 days per year.
