General Purpose:
The Kittery School District has assumed the evaluation, service delivery, and FAPE responsibilities of 3, 4, and 5 year olds. The District is seeking a special education technician III who possesses experience working with and supporting the IEP team in delivery of services for students ages 3, 4, and 5 years of age. The ideal candidate will have experience working with families and community resources to support the service delivery.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide instruction to students across multiple sites within the Kittery community.
Assess learner progress through various methods
Collaborate with the comprehensive special education team at Mitchell Primary School to create a cohesive delivery model in compliance with state and federal standards
Build strong relationships with learners, families, and colleagues.
Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment that celebrates critical thinking, creativity, and innovation.
Minimum Qualifications:

At least 3 years of post-secondary education or a combination equivalent to 90 hours of approved study in an educationally related field.
Must apply for and be approved for Maine State authorization as an Educational Technician III or be a Maine certificate holder in good standing for certified teacher, educational specialist, or administrator.
Successful background, criminal records, fingerprinting, and reference check
