Title: Ice Rink Manager
Date of Opening: July 2025
Statement of Duties
- Actively promote and market rental of Ice Rink in an effort to increase revenues
- Develop working relationship with outside groups/renters
- Establish skate rental program for Public Skating sessions
- Provide information for the quarterly school committee report relative to any and all Ice Rink activities, events and major repairs
- Attend annual inspections with town building inspector, Maintenance Foreman, and Athletic Director to address any safety hazards/issues, needed improvements, repairs and/or maintenance
- Obtain quotes (verbal and/or written) pertaining to needed capital improvements
- Make recommendations to Facilities Director of any needed repairs/improvements
- Manages a maintenance/service program for Ice Rink
- Research grant opportunities as well as other resources that will allow the purchase of new equipment (i.e. Zamboni)
- Attend training seminars on effective leadership and management skills and efficient rink operations
- Solicit area companies for advertising revenues (i.e. boards of advertising in the ice rink)
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Effective written, verbal communication and computer skills
- Must have working knowledge of the operations of the ice rink
- Available to work extended hours and weekends based on project requirements
Salary: Stipend $12,500.00 **Includes Ice Rink Emergency Call Backs**
