We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Production Intern to support our content team across video and photo projects. This role will involve assisting with editing tasks, organizing media, and providing hands-on help during photo and video shoots. It’s a great opportunity for someone passionate about editing and/or video and photography who wants to learn the full production process in a creative, fast-paced environment, with hands-on experience in real-world production workflows and mentorship from experienced editors, photographers, directors, and producers.
This internship will be in-person at our Farmingdale, Long Island office. This internship will be part time up to a max of 25 hours per week.
Responsibilities:- Assist with video editing (basic cuts, sound syncing, simple motion graphics, etc.)
- Support on-set production (lighting setup, gear transport, camera support, etc.)
- Help organize and manage media files, including backups and asset labeling
- Take behind-the-scenes photos and video when needed
- Maintain equipment inventory and help with gear setup/breakdown
- Assist with general production tasks and creative team needs
- Contribute to brainstorming sessions and offer creative solutions for various projects
- Passion for editing and/or photography and video production
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Lightroom), and DaVinci
- A team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to lift and move equipment if needed (with support)
- Basic photography skills, understanding of lighting and camera operation
- Strong work ethic with excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication and listening abilities
- Up to date on current video, photography, and social trends.
- A design portfolio / website showcasing relevant work
- High school diploma or GED
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in film, media, communications, or related field
- Residing in the Long Island or NYC area
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent written communication skills
- Owning a useable camera is a plus
- A background in music is a plus, but not required
The hourly rate for this position will be $20.00 per hour.
