Responsible for interface with 3rd Party Logistics Company. Responsible for the cleanliness of the Shipping Office Area. Responsible for freight claims, quoting international shipments, helping with communication with production. In charge of shipping inquiries email responses. Receives all HOT orders and stays on top of them, so that they ship as required. Responsible for ordering all office supplies and FedEx supplies (boxes, etc). Responsible for auditing, trouble shooting, and tracking of orders. Responsible for correcting any OOBF for shipping mistakes. In general, responsible for leading the Shipping Team with high efficiency and
safety.
- Support the organization’s business strategy.
- Lead in day-to-day Shipping department tasks.
- Update and communicate Open Sales Orders (Daily Open Sales Order Report)
- Manage Shipping Department training.
- Support Sales Team by managing Daily Shipping Inquiries.
- Reduce / eliminate out of box failures in Shipping Department.
- Meet daily / weekly / monthly department Shipping Goals; reconcile missed targets.
- Excellent 5S in department (at workstations and throughout warehouse).
Productivity:
- Responsible for providing leadership for the Shipping team.
- Maintain a neat and orderly work environment.
- Report component part shortages to the Production Managers, and the Purchasing Coordinator as soon as they are detected.
- Assess adequacy of component part stocking levels.
- Schedule department to execute missions of same day/next day delivery.
- Assign tasks to team members and giving them specific directions and procedures to follow in carrying out assigned tasks.
- Create a safe, efficient, and desirable working atmosphere.
Safety:
- Report any unsafe conditions to the Manufacturing or Production Managers.
- Work to correct unsafe conditions upon detection.
- To use safe practices in all aspects of job.
- Follow all company safety regulations.
Quality:
- Follow all applicable quality standards/
- Find root causes of out-of-box-failures & implement corrective actions.
- Immediately report any product or system quality deficiencies to the Manufacturing or Production Managers and the Quality Manager.
