Job Summary
The Marketing Specialist will work closely with the product marketing team and broader marketing organization to manage project timelines, track progress, and ensure efficient execution of initiatives. This is an entry level position ideal for someone who is eager to grow and learn within the financial services industry. This individual will be a member of an exciting, fast-paced, and growing team that is making an immediate impact diversifying our card products.
This role will work cross-functionally with other Marketing team members, Product, Legal and Compliance, Operations, and other groups as necessary. Populus Financial Group is a results-oriented, fast-paced, and growing organization. The Marketing Project Coordinator will report directly to the Director of Marketing.
Major Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the product marketing team and cross-functional marketing groups to manage project workflows, monitor deadlines, and ensure timely completion deliverables.
- Collaborate with the product team to define, clarify, and execute project requirements.
- Communicate project goals, timelines, challenges, and progress updates across the marketing and product teams through regular meetings and email correspondence.
- Ensure marketing deliverables meet legal and compliance review requirements.
- Coordinate the distribution of campaign resources and materials, including content, legal disclaimers, and design assets.
- Identify and recommend process improvements to streamline project efficiency and execution.
- Support the development and design of marketing channel assets when needed.
- Demonstrate curiosity and initiative to learn about financial services and products.

- Strong project management skills, including managing timelines, budgets, and resources.
- Solid understanding of digital marketing, social media, and traditional marketing practices.
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication with teams, stakeholders, and vendors.
- Detail oriented, ensuring marketing deliverables align with brand guidelines, product, and legal requirements.
- Ability to manage time and workload independently, prioritize tasks, and act with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines.
- Results-oriented with ability and desire to track, analyze, and report on campaign performance metrics.
- Solution-oriented with demonstrated flexibility in changing environments and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and initiative in managing responsibilities and identifying growth opportunities.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This position might require long hours and weekend work.
