Summary: The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the facility and distribution functions, ensuring efficient, accurate, and cost-effective fulfillment of all orders. This role requires strong leadership, process optimization, and cross-departmental collaboration to meet company goals and customer expectations. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

1.      Manage daily warehouse and distribution operations, including inventory control, logistics, fleet management, and order fulfillment. 

2.      Primary for all warehouse and fleet maintenance with the facility.  

3.      Collaborate with Sales, Purchasing, and Customer Service teams to align operational capabilities with customer demand. 

4.      Lead and manage change initiatives, continuous improvement projects, and technology upgrades. 

5.      Serve as a backup for team members to ensure operational continuity during employee absences. 

6.      Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety regulations, DOT requirements, and applicable laws. 

7.       All other duties and responsibilities as assigned. 

Qualifications: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. 

Education/Experience: Prefer college graduate with degree or equivalent experience 

Language Ability: Excellent sales skills and ability. Advanced interpersonal skills to communicate with customers and relate information or problems to managers. 

Math Ability: Basic addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. 

Reasoning Ability: Ability to make quick independent decisions pertaining to self  

Certificates and Licenses: Valid Commercial Driver’s License and Ability to obtain a UST Operator Permit. 

Work Environment: Driving a vehicle or day to day facilities operations- Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to approximately 5:00 p.m.  Schedule is flexible and dictated by customer requirements. 

Span of Control: Divisional / Manager with Direct Reports    

Physical Requirements: Must have ability to effectively use data sourcing and desktop computing to support selling efforts. Ability to drive a motor vehicle. Requires standing, walking, kneeling, bending, pushing/pulling, routine lifting/carrying of 26-50 lbs. and occasionally 160 lbs. Individual must be physically capable of moving product into and out of customer's establishments - occasionally in large volumes in a relatively short period of time. Deals with sudden temperature change when entering and exiting coolers.
