Job Type:  Full-Time - 1:00pm – 9:30pm

What You’ll Do

As a Gross Technician, you will support the pathology department under the direction of our leadership team, including the CPG Medical Director, Pathologists’ Assistant Supervisor, and staff pathologists. Your primary responsibilities include:

  • Gross description and complete dissection of all assigned simple and routine surgical specimens
     
  • Assisting in frozen section services for routine specimens
     
  • Supporting specialized procedures or projects as assigned by pathologists
     
  • Reviewing patient EMRs to determine appropriate handling of surgical specimens
     
  • Maintaining effective communication with Pathology and hospital staff to ensure efficient workflow
     
  • Managing gross room operations, including supplies, specimen organization, and cleanliness
     
  • Maintaining a professional, cooperative presence in the workplace
     
  • Performing additional duties as assigned
     

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical or biological sciences or medical laboratory technology – Required
     

Experience

  • 1+ year in anatomic pathology or clinical laboratory specimen processing – Preferred
