Job Profile

The City of Cambridge is currently looking for a Zumba Instructor on a part-time casual basis. As a Zumba Instructor, you will be responsible for the delivery of fitness classes.

What you will be doing

  • Direct delivery of Zumba classes, modeling service excellence in assigned program areas
  • Interaction with members developing positive relationships and addressing concerns or questions
  • Maintain relevant certifications
  • Required to work a variety of shifts which may include weekends, evenings, holidays and early mornings
  • Attend scheduled training events

Experience and Knowledge

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 or more years of related Group Fitness Instruction or related experience
  • Up-to-date and relevant Group Fitness (Zumba) Certifications
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong, professional leadership qualities that help motivate and encourage participants is required.
  • Proven experience planning, implementing and supervising in groups

Current and valid Police Vulnerable Sector Check to be provided prior to commencement in this position.
Worker Health and Safety Awareness Training Certificate from the Ministry of Labour
Proof of your current and valid certificate(s) and/or educational qualifications.
Standard First Aid, CPR C & AED certification

We are looking for these certificates

  • Standard First Aid, CPR C & AED Certification
  • High Five - Principals of Healthy Aging or willing to acquire.

Rate of pay

The hourly rate of pay is $40.00 per hour.

Hours of work

The number of hours will be dependent on the number of participants taking part in our programs, there are no minimum hours associated with this position.
