DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Processes and counts high volumes of US currency.
• Counts & exchanges coins for currency.
• Counts & exchanges currency for coin.
• Counts & exchanges currency for currency.
Converts Canadian Currency to US dollars to accurately process guest transactions and applies the appropriate exchange rate.
• Maintains an understanding of various promotional programs to apply the appropriate exchange rate.
Exchanges blackjack and poker chips for US currency to reimburse guests while adhering to minimum Internal gaming controls & Federal regulations.
• Exchanges blackjack chips/poker chips for US currency.
• Processes fill requests from Blackjack Department for the tables.
• Uses computer software to track activity.
• Exchanges table game chips with vault for currency.
Process high volumes of travelers’ checks, coupons (Par, SE Red, Anniversary, exchange rate), Jackpot receipts, pull – tabs, checks, paid outs, cancel credits, Jackpots, players club certificates and high-volume promos, check issuance.
• Determines if negotiable item is valid.
• Verifies identification.
• Seeks signatures as required in Standard Operating Procedure.
• Maintains understanding of current coupons and pull tabs in use.
Processes tickets for ticket in/ticket out slot machines.
• Scans ticket using computer software to ensure validity of ticket.
• Pay the guest the value of the ticket.
• Transfers tickets to vault.
Maintains impress amount for assigned window.
• Completes a thorough count of all negotiable items at the end & beginning of each shift.
• Transfers coin, currency, & all other negotiable items to the main vault throughout the shift
• Maintain adequate levels of coin and currency are available to serve guests.
• Accounts for all shortages & overages.
• Completes all documents associated with activity during the shift and closing numbers for auditing & manager/or assistant manager.
Completes appropriate paperwork for gaming controls, casino reports & Internal Revenue Service.
• Assures currency transaction reports are completed as stated IRS BSA / AML (Title 31).
• Completes the paperwork associated with taxable jackpots.
• Ensures proper identification is received for guests involved in transactions.
• Counts all Table Game Tips.
Interacts with Slot Department Personnel.
• Ensure that documentation & transaction is in compliance.
• Completes jackpot pay off requests.
• Completes check requests.
• Ensures adequate identification is received for IRS.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); at least 4 months of work-related experience or training as a cashier or in a position that handles cash transactions.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES & DESIGNATIONS
Must meet licensing requirements as prescribed by the Tribal/State Compact for Gaming.
Must complete basic math test, BSA / AML (title 31) test requirements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
• Knowledge of and ability to apply internal gaming controls.
• Knowledge of exchange rates.
• Knowledge of and skill in using computer and related software including Excel, Table Track, Ticket In & Out.
• Knowledge of promotional programs offered by the Casino at any given point in time.
• Skill in verifying, counting and balancing transactions.
• Skill in basic math including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions,
• percentages and decimals.
• Skill in operating currency equipment such as the coin sorter, self-automated teller, currency
• counter & calculators.
• Skill in developing and maintaining positive relationships with external & internal guests.
• Ability to read & interpret documents such as gaming controls, procedure manuals, safety
• rules and operation instructions
• Ability to follow procedures and given attention to detail.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.

WORKING CONDITIONS
• Frequent exposure to moderate to loud noise level.
