This position receives, stores and distributes material, tools, equipment and products within the warehouse, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions.
Essential Functions:

- Assist in unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders and distributing to sales associates for processing.
- Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves or relocate orders to a holding area or shipping department.
- Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas, by hand or with power lift truck.
- Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed and/or shipped.
- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color or product code.
- Open crates and other packages.
- Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
- Assist in counting of physical inventory.
- Prepare parcels for mailing.
- Ensure all raw materials are appropriately labeled with relevant dates
- Enter daily transactions in the tracking software
- Installs bracing, padding and strapping to loaded materials in the vehicle to ensure safe and secure dispatching of ordered material
- Maintains the workplace and warehouse in a neat, clean and orderly condition.
Job Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Forklift certification required.
- Two years’ prior warehouse experience is required, Manufacturing warehouse experience is preferred
- Good reading comprehension skills.
- Legible writing skills.
- Basic carpentry skills are a plus.
- Must have accurate counting skills and be detail oriented.
- Basic computer skills, data entry.
Work Environment:
This position works in an air-conditioned warehouse setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday when trucks arrive for unloading. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and standard warehouse equipment such as forklifts, hand trucks, box cutters, etc.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, or bend at the knees. The employee has to have both hand and arm dexterity. The employee must lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds frequently. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
