Bellarmine College Preparatory, located in San José, California invites applications for a Digital Marketing Manager position beginning October 2025. The Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for creating written and visual content for use across communications channels, conveying Bellarmine’s messaging with clarity, consistency, and impact.
The ideal candidate has robust experience in digital marketing and is familiar with the secondary education sphere in the San Francisco Bay Area. They are a compelling storyteller with excellent editorial judgment and sharp writing skills. Essential Responsibilities:
- Work with the Director of Marketing and Communications to execute a year-round marketing strategy aiming to:
- Ensure brand consistency and mission alignment
- Facilitate greater brand recognition, reception, and loyalty
- Generate higher application and yield numbers
- Strengthen community engagement and positioning
- Support fundraising and donor stewardship
- Work within the Office of Advancement to execute digital marketing tasks as part of event and fundraising strategies reaching current and former families and friends of the school
- Create copy and content as needed to execute timely and evergreen marketing campaigns across Bellarmine’s target audiences in Admissions, Alumni Relations, and Fundraising
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders in Admissions, Athletics, Student Life, Campus Ministry, DEIB, and other departments to ensure external communications are consistent and unified
- Create, update, and manage website content both proactively and as needed
- Ideate, create, and share static, video, and written content for social media and communications platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, Slack)
- Write strategic, compelling email copy based on audience, urgency, and objectives
- Create, launch, and monitor performance of digital advertisements
- Coordinate cross-departmentally to gather resources including photos, videos, testimonials, and interviews
- Staff 4-6 events per year as a representative of the Advancement Office (such as the Golden Bell Auction, BellsGive, BMG Fashion Show, and occasional tabling at community events and festivals)
Minimum Qualifications/Skills:
- At least 7 years of relevant work experience
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university; preferably in marketing, education, business or related area
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including a strong ability to translate facts and data into compelling, concise copy
- Creative approach to problem solving, with a propensity to identify and address areas of opportunity early and confidently
- Strong time and project management skills; self-directed with demonstrated ability to assume responsibility, work independently, and move projects to completion with minimal supervision
- Ability to prioritize and complete deliverables within established time frames, including proficiency in managing multiple tasks/assignments/projects simultaneously
- Reliable and responsive with a team-player mindset; commitment to timely communication and availability during working hours to support collaboration and keep projects moving forward
- Familiarity with SEO, social media strategy, email marketing, and creative production in the realm of digital content development
Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic graphic design skills and familiarity with Canva
- Basic photography skills for use in frequent, casual social media activity
- Familiarity with website management and email automation platforms
- Familiarity with the secondary education sphere in the Bay Area
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 20 pounds, using proper lifting techniques
- Ability to sit, stand, and/or move around the applicable working environment as needed
- Ability to safely and comfortably travel around our campus
- Ability to use a keyboard (or an alternative input device) and other office equipment
- Ability to read information in printed material on a computer screen (often for extended periods of time) and/or on a mobile device/laptop
General Information:
- This is a Regular Full-Time Exempt position; the employee is expected to work as many hours as their job responsibilities require, which could include evenings and weekends
- Compensation for this role starts at $110,000 annually, with a cap of $125,000 annually for an exceptional candidate
- This position is eligible for benefits
- This is not a telecommuting position
- The general expectation is that this position will begin work on or about October 1, 2025
