Job Overview

Raycap, Inc. has an opening for a highly motivated, detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in Post Falls, ID.

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Review, validate, and post incoming freight and customs invoices in SAP with a high degree of accuracy. 
• Dispute freight charges when billed amounts do not align with quoted rates. 
• Analyze supporting documents (bills of lading, customs declarations, HTS codes) to verify correct charges. 
• Assign expenses to appropriate accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice descriptions and historical data. 
• Coordinate vendor payments by tracking discount opportunities, scheduling payment runs and preparing disbursements. 
• Set up and maintain vendor account information in SAP while adhering to verification procedures. 
• Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions. 
• Support monthly and annual close processes related to freight and general AP postings as needed. 
• Support internal and external audit requests during annual and interim audits. 
• Assist in developing best practices and driving process standardization. 
• Perform other related duties within the accounts payable team as assigned. 

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 
• Minimum 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a related accounting/finance role. 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and basic data analysis. 
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to read tariff schedules and assess cost impacts. 
• High attention to detail and accuracy in both data entry and financial analysis. 
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. 
• Ability to work independently and manage high volumes of transactions. 

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of SAP ERP system (invoice posting and PO matching preferred). 
• Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). 
• Experience in manufacturing or cost accounting.
