Arbors Management is a trusted Property Management company seeking a building maintenance technician for our Section 8/HUD property in Fairmont, WV. This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work and is looking for a stable, long-term position with consistent year-round hours — no seasonal layoffs or short-term work. This is a skilled position for a person with plumbing, electrical, carpentry and custodial experience. 

Normal work schedule will be Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, or something similar, with an on-call schedule that will be shared with other maintenance staff.

Skills needed to be a successful Maintenance Tech. I include:

• Basic plumbing skills (Toilets, drains, hot water tanks)
• Basic electrical skills (switches, fixtures, outlets)
• Interior and exterior painting experience
• Drywall hanging and repair experience
• Ability to handle custodial duties, trash and groundskeeping
• Can-do attitude with strong communication skills
• Willingness to learn

Qualifications for the Maintenance Tech. I:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, crawl and otherwise move about
• Ability to lift 50 lbs without assistance 
• Valid Driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Must pass pre-employment drug and background screenings
• Solid communication skills
• A GREAT Attitude
