Who Does This Role Report Into? Operations Manager, BioCity Nottingham
Role Summary / Purpose and Scope
The Facilities Manager is instrumental in ensuring the site's smooth day-to-day operations and continued success. As a vital member of the BioCity Nottingham team, this role delivers consistently high standards across all soft services and the overall guest experience, in alignment with client expectations and health and safety regulations.
Working closely with the Operations Manager and on-site team, the Facilities Manager will help foster a dynamic, welcoming workspace that supports occupiers' needs while always maintaining full compliance. Strong organisational and support skills are essential to manage third-party contractors effectively.
08.30 – 17.00 - 60 minutes break/lunch – 37.5 hours
Skills, Knowledge and Values
- Oversee and manage site communications with occupiers, wider community and scientific community.
- Seeks to improve and enhance the delivery of client service.
- Monitors budget performance at a high level across the park
- To provide the highest level of service standards to client and building tenants
- Assist with contractor and supplier performance
- Assist in drafting and monitoring service charge budgets
- Monitor all on site staff and address issues as required
- Leads from the front, supports and identifies change and controls and enhances change management, represents MAPP and clients values.
- Ensures compliance with the highest standards, policies and procedures. Working with the site teams and the client to achieve this and helping set a strategy for the year in conjunction with the Operations Manager.
- Monitoring statutory and internal compliance, including meeting MAPP policies and procedures, RICS and ISO standards and any statutory timelines and escalation requirements.

Experience and Salary
2+ years experience of working in a similar role
Qualifications:
- IOSH (essential)
- NEBOSH (desirable)
- IWFM (desirable)
- Riskwise (H&S compliance systems)
Working Hours: 8.30am - 5pm Monday - Friday
Salary Range (Based on Experience)
£33,000 - £36,000 per annum, depending on experience.
