Credentialing Specialist
Location: Lindon, Utah (In-office only — no remote work available)
Pay Range: $18–$20/hour (depending on experience)
Schedule: Full-time or part-time available | Monday through Friday, between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM

We are a fast-growing Dental Support Organization (DSO) seeking a highly motivated Credentialing Specialist to join our credentialing team. This role plays a vital part in supporting our dental practitioners by ensuring all providers are properly credentialed with insurance payers in a timely and compliant manner.
Job Description:
As a Credentialing Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our provider credentialing database, overseeing application submissions, and ensuring all credentialing tasks are completed accurately and efficiently. You’ll be the bridge between our providers and payor plans, helping to facilitate clear and timely communication. This position also involves optimizing and automating credentialing workflows for increased operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end insurance credentialing for dental practitioners, ensuring full regulatory compliance.
- Maintain up-to-date records of licenses, certifications, and insurance documents in the provider database.
- Review and verify the completeness and accuracy of all credentialing applications.
- Serve as the point of contact for communication with insurance companies, payers, and related entities to resolve any credentialing issues.
- Submit credentialing applications promptly and follow up regularly on their status.
- Collaborate with dental teams and external contacts to collect required documentation and information.
- Stay current on changes in industry regulations and best practices in dental credentialing.
- Provide training and support to junior credentialing specialists.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives for credentialing operations.
Requirements
Preferred Qualifications (Not Required but a Plus):
- Previous experience with dental-specific credentialing.
- Background in a Dental Service Organization (DSO).
- Familiarity with dental practice management software (especially Open Dental).
- High attention to detail with a commitment to data accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Working knowledge of insurance and credentialing regulations.
