Walton Arts Center Inc. operates two campuses: a 1,200-seat proscenium theatre and 269-seat black box in Fayetteville and an 11,000-capacity outdoor Amphitheatre known as the Walmart AMP in Rogers, AR. Walton Arts Center has been Arkansas’ premier performing arts center for over 30 years and Walmart AMP has consistently been one of Billboard's top-rated amphitheaters producing 30 plus concerts per season.

Position Overview

The primary purpose of the Housekeeping Lead position for the Walmart Arkansas Music Pavilion and Walton Arts Center venue is to oversee and guide housekeeping teams, ensuring that all cleaning tasks are completed to a high standard. This role requires flexibility to accommodate varying schedules and the ability to hold team members accountable for their work, providing guidance and correction when necessary.

Principal   Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

  

  • Lead and support a team of housekeeping staff in large-scale entertainment venues, ensuring high cleanliness standards before, during, and after events
  • Delegate cleaning tasks to team members based on zone priority, shift needs, and team strengths
  • Enforce team accountability through daily checklists, and cleaning logs
  • Maintain consistent communication with supervisors and team leads to coordinating efficient workflow and real-time problem solving
  • Respond quickly to urgent cleaning needs during live events, including spills, trash, biohazards, restroom restocks, and guest concerns
  • Support a positive and professional team culture by encouraging teamwork, respectful communication, and shared responsibility
  • Demonstrate adaptability by working in both indoor (Walton Arts Center) and outdoor (Walmart AMP) environments with varying crowd sizes and conditions
  • Represent Walton Arts Center / Walmart AMP at both on and off-site events, as requested
  • Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor 
  • Maintain security and safety requirements as defined by operations guidelines
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures

Education, Training, Traits

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Hands-on experience   performing and inspecting cleaning duties   in both indoor and outdoor environments, with a focus on maintaining safety, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction during live events
  • Proven ability to   respond to urgent cleaning needs and shifting priorities during significant events, showing initiative, problem-solving, and professionalism under pressure
  • Thrives in high-pressure   environments, maintaining a positive attitude and delivering outstanding   customer service while meeting tight deadlines
  • Possesses strong communication   skills with the ability to interact respectfully and effectively with diverse   team members, guests, and supervisors
  • Shows a proactive desire to   continuously learn, grow, and adapt to new procedures and expectations.
  • Capable of working independently and   collaboratively, following detailed instructions and established routines to   ensure tasks are completed efficiently and thoroughly.
  • Demonstrates a consistent commitment   to the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, ethics and   confidentiality
  • Comfortable speaking confidently in front of small groups to manage pre-event or post-event briefings of the team while delegating assignments.
  • Must be able to work under pressure   and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and providing   exemplary customer service

Work   Experience

  • Minimum 1–2 years of   experience supervising housekeeping or janitorial teams, preferably in high-traffic, fast-paced environments such as event venues, hotels, or commercial facilities.

Physical

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to   50 lbs.
  • Must be able to talk, listen and   speak clearly (on telephone   and on radio/walkie talkie)
  • Must have a working cell phone and   be willing to install basic applications and be willing to use it for work   purposes
  • Must be able to endure sitting or   standing for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to endure standing or   walking for extended periods of time on various surfaces such as concrete, grass, and inclined surfaces. 
  • Must have the physical strength and dexterity to hold and manipulate brooms, mops, squeeze bottles, hoses, sponges, etc. in the course of executing cleaning duties. 
  • Must be able to endure outdoor elements including cold, heat, wind, and/or precipitation
  • Must be able to work in large, crowded environments, with flashing lights, loud music and noises, pyrotechnics, and cannons as part of shows and events
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license and be able to drive a golf cart or other such vehicle adhering to basic rules of the road and company policy.
